    Hi

I have been trying to set up an assignment for one of my Namaste lessons. It runs well and shows the correct answers and assignment score when the ‘Show Results’ button is clicked. However, when I return to the lesson it doesn’t show the lesson as being completed and continues to show the assignment as a todo.

The ‘The following assignments/homework must be completed:’ box is ticked on the lesson settings.

I’m confused. You are talking about assignments and saying that completing a quiz does not complete the lesson. Quizzes are not assignments/homework, these things are different.

I created a quiz in Watu. I then created an assignment in Namaste linked to one of my lessons and pasted the Watu quiz shortcode [WAYU 2] into the assignment.

I then went to the lesson that the assignment was linked to and ticked the “The following assignments/homework must be completed:”
    box.

Watu quiz is linked to the lesson. I can take 10 question quiz but when I return to the course overview it says that the lesson has still not been completed and that my[WATU 2] quiz is still a todo.

The quiz will not complete the assignments. Quizzes are quzzes, assignments are assignments and should be approved from admin. Putting the quiz shortcode in the assignment will not make it automatically complete when the quiz is completed.

Ok that makes sense. I did try the other route of putting the shortcode on its own page but the submit answers button did not work. Is this usually caused by a problem with the theme’s javascript?

    Many thanks for your help.

No, the problem is that you expect the quiz to complete assignment. It will not. Never. Quizzes and assignments are different things and one doesn’t complete the other. Assignment can be completed ONLY MANUALLY by being approved from teacher/admin.

And this thread shouldn’t be here at all, it’s about Namaste, not Watu.

Ok mate no worries. Thanks for your time and apologies if the thread is in the wrong place. Couldn’t really have know that when I started it.

    Thanks again.
