Complete WordPress noob – what do you think?

Not bad at all!

Just from a layout perspective – based on colors and hues and shades, the photo of you doesn’t “fit”. There’s a bluish-greenish-white cast to the photo, and where it is makes it stick out a little too much.

If it were me, I’d make it smaller, try to do some color correcting, and maybe place it in the sidebar (so that it’s framed with the pretty red you chose, rather than the pinkish-cream color.

Other than that – speaking solely on your ability to install and make use of WP’s offerings – you did a great job. ??

Hi – was slightly confused until I realised that the home page didn’t show correctly when viewed with Netscape/Mozilla. It should show OK now – the entire site should be in a cream box framed by a burgundy-coloured clock background image.

I know the pic’s not great – it’s just a webcam snap. Hopefully I’ll be getting some pro pics done. I have warmed it up a bit though – I see what you mean about the green-blue thing.

I think it looks great! I love the color scheme. The whole site looks very smooth. Glad to hear you’re getting a new picture, as the one you have does seem very pixellated, but everything else looks great. Nice ball gown, by the way. ??
