Everytime there is an update to this plugin, it kills the current Access Levels rendering them useless. I have to go in and delete each level then re-establish new ones. This in return, eliminates all the Levels assigned to Users. I have to go to each User Profile and re-establish their Access Level. With thousands of Users, can you imagine how painstakingly difficult and time consuming this is? This Plugin needs major work done to prevent this from happening each time there is an update.

    Thank you for reporting this.

What exactly do you mean by “kills the current Access Levels”? Updating the plugin will not change the data, unless it is clearly stated in the readme.

I can understand that this problem is persisting across updates, does it happen for every update or only recently?

It happened again last night late. Suddenly started getting emails from members that they were unable to access pages. Had to delete all levels then create new ones. Had to re-establish all level users and assign access levels all over again. I went to my installed Plugins page and “deactivated” the WP User Access plugin thinking that perhaps it was causing a conflict. Waiting to see if that makes a difference.

Thank you for the details, I will take a look at the plugin you mentioned to see if there is an incompatibility issue. Seing as the plugins handle similiar use cases, that might be the problem.

Were all your users with an Access Level being affected, or only some users?
And are you synchronizing your Levels with Roles, or do you manually add members to each Level?
