After studying your code and reading up on Widget development, I see you have an option to ‘apply_filters’. It has been suggested that this function should only be used within the loop – I am not sure if this is true or not, however as I couldn’t find any documentation for this option, I clicked the “Do not apply Content Filters” option and my problem went away!

Could you please describe the usage of this option as it’s been causing me many issues for many weeks.

    Regards and thanks

After ticking the “Do not apply Content Filters”, the block is displayed without the html tags. When I switch it back, the html tags work again.

Continuing to try my own support, I looked at the live version of this site and even with the “Do not apply Content Filters” ticked, the HTML tags are there.

I have check that every plugin is the same, I have deactivated all the plugins but nothing changes.

I’ve listed all the filter hooks for the_content, and they match across site but still the output is different.

OK, I have re-installed TinyMCE Advanced plugin and now the <p> tages have re-appeared.
