  • @lacanela – I do see some changes that have been made for WC v4.1+, but you are correct, the supported version has not yet been updated. For what it’s worth, I’m safely running both versions on my local site with no known issues.

You could either a) wait for an update with the supported tag updated, or b) test on a staging site before updating on your live site.

And is there a timeframe for an update / certification of the plugin?

    Thanks.

    Hey @lacanela

I appreciate your concern that there is still a warning shown on your site as this shows there has not been a conscious update.

I will raise this internally and look to update the “Tested up to” with every release.

Although not official, the Stripe payment gateway has been tested and is used on sites running the latest WooCommerce release. Including WooCommerce.com.

    Thanks,

    OK. Thanks for the info.

But, again: Is there a timeframe for the next update?

    Thanks

I’m having the same issue as above. i have deactivated and reactivated my plugins while in maintenance mode and nothing is working for this. Please can there be a timeframe/quick solution for this?

When I go to Dashboard>WooCommerce>Status it says: WooCommerce Stripe Gateway by WooCommerce – 4.4.0 – Installed version not tested with active version of WooCommerce 4.1.1
This is the same for many of my payment gateways by WooCommerce:
WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Gateway by WooCommerce – 2.0.1 – Installed version not tested with active version of WooCommerce 4.1.1

This is having a tragic affect on my business as customers aren’t able to place orders and I’m struggling to get my tickets answered since yesterday afternoon. My site is now in maintenance mode until it can be resolved. Anyone able to advise?

    @cosyandcountry :
I am not a support person – I actually have the same problem as you – but I see a couple of temporary solutions for you:
    – stick with earlier versions of everything, and you should be fine.
    – Back up your site, update everything. If it works, ok, if not restore the previous version of your site.
    – Finally, if none of the above solutions are available, temporarily use the invoice option of Stripe (https://dashboard.stripe.com/invoices), to send manual payment requests to your customers.

Of course, the ideal thing will be for the authors of the plugin to update the plugin.

I am waiting for that too.

    Hey all,

@cosyandcountry – Can you reach out to us at WooCommerce.com, please? Your problem almost likely won’t be released to the “tested up to” issue we’re discussing here.

I can appreciate the concern about compatibility here but I can confirm the WooCommerce Stripe plugin does work with WooCommerce 4.1.1 – we have seen many sites running these versions.

The plugin is showing this due to the plugin file having “tested up to: 4.0” – https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-stripe/blob/19e5f4a47d4ad94d4d367a588b3cd4b227c9f80d/woocommerce-gateway-stripe.php#L12 – I can confirm that testing has taken place with more recent releases of the core WooCommerce plugin but this line in the Stripe plugin hasn’t been changed.

The core WooCommerce team are looking to ease this compatibility severity as “tested up to” doesn’t always need to be confirmed as changes between core WooCommerce release may not affect every plugin or extension.

    More details here – https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/26248#issuecomment-630118194

    I’ve opened an Issue here – https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-stripe/issues/1221

    Thanks,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

I was actually for news from you. My last question was:
Is there a timeframe for the next update?
Meanwhile WC has now been bumped to 4.2

    Hi @lacanela

I would imagine this is part of the next Stripe release from the developers.

Although not specified in the code, the Stripe payment gateway was tested with the last WooCommerce release.

If you have a specific problem you are seeing with the most recent release, please do open a new thread with full details there.

    Thanks,
