    Hi
I’m using the OceanWP theme and their Popup login add-on (https://oceanwp.org/extension/ocean-popup-login/).
I have created a notification for “User Lost Password – For User”, but when I use the Popup login forgot password feature, the notification doesn’t get sent. As soon as a deactivate Better Notifications, the default WP password reset email is successfully sent.
Is this plugin compatible with OceanWP and their Popup login add-on?
    Thanks
    Ian

    Hi Ian,
    Thanks for your message.

It sounds like the pop-up plugin is preventing the notification from being overridden which is why it’s not being sent.

Are you able to test with the pop-up plugin disabled to see if BNFW works as expected then?

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

Yes, BNFW sent the notification when I used the default password request.

However, some of the merge tags didn’t display properly. This is how the email rendered them:

    Registered to: [user_login]
    Email Address: [user_email]

    Thanks for your help,

    Ian

    Hi @iananderson,
I think you may have some incorrect shortcodes in user there. You can find the reference guide for shortcodes here: https://betternotificationsforwp.com/documentation/notifications/shortcodes/

I think you need to use [email_user_login] and [email_user_email] instead of the ones you have.

Try that and let me know if it works for you.
