  • I can confirm that currently NS Custom Fields for WordPress SEO does not work with Yoast SEO 3.0 (and above). Hopefully this can be fixed.

At least this is what I am experiencing.

Is there any news on this issue? When do you expect it to be fixed?
    Thank you!

This is actually a pretty dramatic change in Yoast’s architecture, we’re working hard on it – but until we get it out to everyone, for now this is the latest Yoast release we support:

    Hi,

A bit late to the game, as usual, but has any one looked at this?

    YoastSEO.js + ACF Fields

Is it safe / possible to downgrade from the current yoast to version 2.3.5 ?

We haven’t heard any negative reports in doing so (though we have not done so ourselves – we always recommend running backups before version changes, just in case), but we also have an update in testing that supports the latest version. Let us know if it works for you :). Otherwise, let us know and feel free to downgrade to that previous version in the meantime.

Thanks for posting the beta. I did try it but Yoast couldn’t read the custom fields at all giving the message: ‘The text contains 0 words. This is far too low and should be increased.’

I tried downgrading to Yoast 2.3.5 on a development server and it seems to work fine. I will probably use this on the live site to check all the SEO – then upgrade to the current Yoast plugin when I know it’s all fine.

What type of field were you trying to have it detect, it’s possible we missed one when we were building out that beta version?

My site uses tabbed content fields. None of the contents of the tabs is recognized.

So, it’s working for all of your fields except tabbed fields? We’ll start to look into this and update you on what we find out – thanks for letting us know :).

Is there any way you could post a screenshot of your tab’s content and Yoast’s response – so we can dig further into your use case?

hi, I saw you’d posted a beta above so went ahead and tried it locally with Yoast 3.3.2. I still get Notice: wpseo_pre_analysis_post_content filter/action is deprecated since version WPSEO 3.0! Use javascript instead. in wp-includes/functions.php on line 3658
Also, all my ACF fields are tabbed, and I don’t get score for entering in them, whereas entering within loop gets a score. Please let me know if I need to give your more info.
