    Dears,

    I have noticed that when I try to share an url of my site on my Google+ account it is not working.

    I always have the message: website can’t be loaded.

    If I try to do the same with other sites Google+ is giving me the meta description with an image…

    Can this have something to do with some kind of setting in the theme?

    Best regards

    Kristof

    do you have opengraph or meta related wp plugin install? the theme did not include this since it is a plugin territory.

    Hello Richie,

    I don’t have that I think.

    Do I need it to have this working in Google+?

    Best regards and thank you for your answer.

    when share a post to fb or google, the system check for meta description and meta title and meta img

    so yes, using all-in-one-seo or yoast seo will solved this.

    Thanks Richie!

    I had already the Yoast plugin but the ‘social’ tab and specialy the open graph part was empty.

    what do you mean? if you have yoast plugin installed, you should have something like this in header

    <!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin v1.4.24 - https://yoast.com/wordpress/seo/ -->
    <meta name="description" content=""/>
    <link rel="canonical" href="" />
    <link rel="next" href="" />
    <meta property="og:locale" content="en_US" />
    <meta property="og:type" content="website" />
    <meta property="og:title" content="" />
    <meta property="og:description" content="" />
    <meta property="og:url" content="" />
    <meta property="og:site_name" content="" />
    <!-- / Yoast WordPress SEO plugin. -->
