My site is slow and I’m looking to improve it.
L amp plugin is it compatible with photostat pro so it won’t crash because I don’t want to have too much trouble.
    Thank you

  • @chrirelle I couldn’t locate any AMP support information on that theme. Did you try and contact the theme developer?

Even if the theme does not state AMP support you can use the plugin in reader mode, which provides a basic set of AMP valid templates that work independently of your active WordPress theme. In this mode (as with transitional) your pages and posts will have AMP versions of your existing non AMP pages and posts.

Check with your developer, and ask them if they plan to implement AMP support. There is also supporting documentation on the plugins website if you want to fix any compatibility issues.

    Good morning, sir,

I have installed the amp plugin properly in read mode and nothing is planted. But the speed has not improved.

I would like to switch to the higher mode but as I don’t know the code, I’m afraid that my site will break.

Then I try and put it back in read mode or if I don’t know the code, it’s better to avoid it.

    Thank you for your help.

@chrirelle When you install the AMP plugin there are 3 modes. Reader mode and Transitional mode do not impact your non AMP site, they create AMP versions of your URLs. You’ll need to do a performance test on any of those AMP versions. You can use Dev Tools audit tab or web.dev to compare the performance of your AMP vs your non AMP.

When you say you want to switch to the higher mode I assume you mean the plugins standard mode. If you find your website doesn’t work or function as it should in this mode then you can always revert to another mode, as it should only impact your front end.
