Hi, first things first: I’m really impressed with this plugin, and so far very, very happy!

I’m wondering if this plugin is compatible with User Roles created through Members plugin, and on step furter, if I still need Members plugin at all?

    Some explanation below ??

I’ve built a member website with Members Plugin for creating different User Roles:

    – Employee (someone working at company A)
    – Manager (someone of the management team at company A)
    – Referrer (someone working at company B, referring clients to company A)

These 3 types of users all have to see their own menu items, content pages, blog posts, downloadable files, events (through EventON), etc.

Till now I have been using Members plugin to create the roles, and to restrict pages and blog posts to certain groups of users. However, as far as I know Members plugin does not support hiding menu items for certain groups of users. So therefore I use Nav Menu Roles plugin. But, as far as I know Members plugin also doesn’t support protecting files from being downloaded by certain groups of users. So therefore I planned to use WordPress Download Manager Plugin. But then, as far as I know Members plugin also doesn’t support hiding titles of posts (at blog lists/grids) for certain groups of users…

So I need a lot of workarounds to get things done.

Now I’ve found User Access Manager, it seems that most of these things can be achieved through 1 plugin – which would be great!

So now I’m just wondering, can I use both Members plugin and User Access Manager plugin at the same time, and kind of ‘connect’ through the Role Affiliation field?

    The idea:

    – Use Members plugin for creating user roles
    – Use Nav Menu Roles plugin for assigning menu items to user roles
    – Use User Access Manager to create groups for certain user roles (affiliate role)
    – Use User Access Manager to restrict pages, posts, events
    – Use User Access Manager to restrict categories, tags
    – Use User Access Manager to restrict downloadable files

Is this the way to go?

Or would it be better to go 100% for User Access Manager? If yes, how can I restrict menu items to certain groups?
