• Hi Theme4Press team,

    I use Ultimate Member and as a result of their recent update had a problem with the menus (I wasn’t able to see and restrict content to the members only area). I wrote to them and they say there is a compatibility problem with Evolve-plus. Please see below. Could you kindly take a look at this and implement if appropriate. If I should add something myself to the theme, would you please advise exactly where and what I should change.

    Thanks for the files. It seems that Evolve-plus theme and MegaMenu in it don’t compatible with WP >= 5.4 and menu items’ custom fields.
    There is a customized EvolvePlus theme with an added hook into it [redacted]

    Please ask EvolvePlus theme support about adding this hook to mega-menu-class.php line::375
    <?php do_action( ‘wp_nav_menu_item_custom_fields’, $item_id, $item, $depth, $args, $id ); ?>

    It will make theme compatible with WP >= 5.4 and menu items’ custom fields.

    Let me know if that works for you,
    Thanks!

    Hello. I must say, that there is a major issue with this thread. More than one.

    Evolve Plus is a Premium Theme. According to www.remarpro.com rules, support for it CANNOT be given here, it is against the rules. Here only Evolve theme is supported.

    If you require support for Evolve Plus, you need to go to theme4press.com to get it. If your support is expired, you need to extend it for a fee.

    In any case, this thread has no place here and I ask you to remove it immediately.
    Thank you.

    Excuse me, but I put this post here as I thought it would also be relevant for the Evolve theme and it seems like an important issue that the developers and users would be interested in hearing about. I actually thought you would be pleased to receive such feedback. It really is not very nice to buy a theme and spend hours of my free time trying to troubleshoot problems to learn the problems apparently occurred because the theme is not compatible with WP 5.4….I feel bad and a little confused as to why I am getting scolded for submitting a simple and well-intentioned inquiry and being told that I have to pay to get a response after reporting an error ?. Thanks for your understanding..there are two sides to the coin.

    I will explain myself again. You are violating WordPress guidelines by publishing this post here, and I cannot answer you here because then I will be in violation too. On top of it, you publish a link that contains our paid theme for everybody to see, and you expect me to be pleased?? There is no problem with WP5. 4 compatibility, the compatibility issue is with this plug-in. There is a difference, wouldn’t you say? And if your still have support enabled, you use Theme4press forum for it. If you want to point out a general problem – you use our Form on the website for free, and we look into it. But what you did here is wrong for multiple reasons, I’ve explained them all. Hope my side of the coin is now clear. Now please, I ask you again – remove this thread ASAP and act like I’ve advised. Thank you.

    OK, let’s just shut this down. I’m closing the topic.

    Because you’re using a commercial theme please use their official support channel. We feel they are best equipped to support their products.

    Commercial products are not supported in these forums.

    @007elt In addition, I have removed the free link to the pro version. The ugly word for that is ‘theft’ – that is you’re giving away a pro product without permission. Please don’t do that. Regardless your intentions, it’s not permitted here.
