Compatibility with WordPress 5.6

    Good ebvening

    In the avternoon I updated the WordPress Version to 5.6. Then I tested the homepage and saw that all of the pages commes als black pages with a white “x” on top right.
    With the help of the Plugin “Health Check & Troubleshooting I first deaktivited all Plugins und activited one plugin after the other. After tactivation of the plugin “Photonic Gallery & Lightbox …” the black pages comes up again.
    In the “Gallerie” of the homepage this plugin plays an important role.

    In the meantime I deaktivated the Plugin, the homepage runs without the photo and Video Gallerie.

    I kindly ask for your support.

    Hi,
    You can reactivate Photonic and use one of the more modern lightbox scripts, like Fancybox3. That should address your concern for now.

    The problem is with some of the third-party lightbox scripts included, such as Fancybox or Swipebox, which are quite old and though they are stable, they use jQuery syntax compatible to an older version of jQuery. In 5.6 WP changed the jQuery version, resulting in this issue.

    Not following you. Have you “deactivated” it? If not, there is nothing to “reactivate”. If you have deactivated it, how did you deactivate it? Probably by going to the Plugins page in your WP dashboard and clicking on “Deactivate” for Photonic. You will have to reactivate it in the same manner.

    I have pinned a topic at the top of the forum that explains the problem and provides the steps to resolve.
