Hi. I guess I found out the problem: your plugin, in its current version, does not recognize a user with superadmin privileges as someone with the necessary permission to access the File Manager menu.
To get around this problem, I had to add my user to all sites of the installation, and grant in all of them the “Administrator” role to it.

By the way: if you modify the code to check the user’s capabilities not only based on it’s role in this or that site of a multisite install, but also verifying if it has superadmin privileges in the entire installation, you could turn the plugin more compatible with wordpress multisite.
To achieve that, I suggest you using the function is_superadmin() from WordPress API.

Sorry for not feeding you back quickly on this, I had confirmed that FileSter works well with your multisite version 4.8 but like you detected too, the users must have full “Admin rights”.

So, your suggestion is well received and we will consider taking a further look to that aspect.
