Hi – I have recently installed the Woothemes Product Bundles plugin and am struggling to get it to work with WP All Import.

I’m not trying to use WP All Import to create the Product Bundles (though it would be great if it did this! Couldn’t find anything in the documentation). At this stage I just want to avoid having WP All Import overwrite the Product Type for an existing Product Bundle.

What I am currently seeing is when I re-import a product that has been made into a “Bundle” Product Type in the Woocommerce interface it resets the product type to “Simple” and removes the products specified to be part of the Bundle.

I managed to prevent the latter behaviour by specifying that it should not import Custom Field “_bundle_data”.

However I can’t figure out how to stop it from overwriting the Product Type. Even unchecking the “Product Type” checkbox under “Choose which data to update” seems to cause it to overwrite back to “Simple”.

I believe it might be something to do with me having all new products default to “Variable” but my understanding is that this shouldn’t affect existing Products; the above two options *should* mean the Bundle status is preserved.

I may have missed it but the documentation for custom product types is a little thin – would appreciate if you could point me in the right direction.

That sounds odd, we’ll need to see your import settings and data to figure out why the product type is being overwritten.

Please reproduce this issue at https://www.wpallimport.com/debug/ and open a support ticket at https://www.wpallimport.com/support/ so we can see this issue in action.

Sorry to kinda hijack the thread, but i’m also VERY interested in WPAI being able to import into Product Bundles. Is there any documentation on how to do this (if possible) ?
    Thanks

Hi tameroski – I have not got it working.

A Product Type with an Xpath value of “bundle” doesn’t break the system, but as far as I know there is no facility in WPAI to link the bundled products.

You can however link them once inside Woocommerce, after which you won’t have to link them again. One small point to note is that the Price for the bundle won’t populate until the Bundle has linked products.

    Hey Guys.

Same here I have the need to have the possibility to import product bundle with WPAI !!

At the moment I am working on a solution to extract from the database my data, create variants products => export with WPAE => get the products ID’s => import into “_product_bundle” with this format (for a bundle composed of 5 variants):

    a:5:{i:16923;a:14:{s:10:"product_id";s:5:"16923";s:14:"hide_thumbnail";s:2:"no";s:14:"override_title";s:2:"no";s:20:"override_description";s:2:"no";s:8:"optional";s:2:"no";s:15:"bundle_quantity";i:1;s:19:"bundle_quantity_max";i:1;s:15:"bundle_discount";s:0:"";s:17:"filter_variations";s:3:"yes";s:18:"allowed_variations";a:1:{i:0;i:16925;}s:24:"hide_filtered_variations";s:2:"no";s:15:"bundle_defaults";a:2:{s:9:"pa_colour";s:4:"blue";s:7:"pa_size";s:2:"37";}s:17:"override_defaults";s:3:"yes";s:10:"visibility";a:3:{s:7:"product";s:6:"hidden";s:4:"cart";s:7:"visible";s:5:"order";s:7:"visible";}}s:7:"16923_2";a:14:{s:10:"product_id";s:5:"16923";s:14:"hide_thumbnail";s:2:"no";s:14:"override_title";s:2:"no";s:20:"override_description";s:2:"no";s:8:"optional";s:2:"no";s:15:"bundle_quantity";i:2;s:19:"bundle_quantity_max";i:2;s:15:"bundle_discount";s:0:"";s:17:"filter_variations";s:3:"yes";s:18:"allowed_variations";a:1:{i:0;i:16924;}s:24:"hide_filtered_variations";s:2:"no";s:15:"bundle_defaults";a:2:{s:9:"pa_colour";s:4:"blue";s:7:"pa_size";s:2:"38";}s:17:"override_defaults";s:3:"yes";s:10:"visibility";a:3:{s:7:"product";s:6:"hidden";s:4:"cart";s:7:"visible";s:5:"order";s:7:"visible";}}s:7:"16923_3";a:14:{s:10:"product_id";s:5:"16923";s:14:"hide_thumbnail";s:2:"no";s:14:"override_title";s:2:"no";s:20:"override_description";s:2:"no";s:8:"optional";s:2:"no";s:15:"bundle_quantity";i:1;s:19:"bundle_quantity_max";i:1;s:15:"bundle_discount";s:0:"";s:17:"filter_variations";s:3:"yes";s:18:"allowed_variations";a:1:{i:0;i:16926;}s:24:"hide_filtered_variations";s:2:"no";s:15:"bundle_defaults";a:2:{s:9:"pa_colour";s:4:"blue";s:7:"pa_size";s:2:"39";}s:17:"override_defaults";s:3:"yes";s:10:"visibility";a:3:{s:7:"product";s:6:"hidden";s:4:"cart";s:7:"visible";s:5:"order";s:7:"visible";}}s:7:"16923_4";a:14:{s:10:"product_id";s:5:"16923";s:14:"hide_thumbnail";s:2:"no";s:14:"override_title";s:2:"no";s:20:"override_description";s:2:"no";s:8:"optional";s:2:"no";s:15:"bundle_quantity";i:2;s:19:"bundle_quantity_max";i:2;s:15:"bundle_discount";s:0:"";s:17:"filter_variations";s:3:"yes";s:18:"allowed_variations";a:1:{i:0;i:16927;}s:24:"hide_filtered_variations";s:2:"no";s:15:"bundle_defaults";a:2:{s:9:"pa_colour";s:4:"blue";s:7:"pa_size";s:2:"40";}s:17:"override_defaults";s:3:"yes";s:10:"visibility";a:3:{s:7:"product";s:6:"hidden";s:4:"cart";s:7:"visible";s:5:"order";s:7:"visible";}}s:7:"16923_5";a:14:{s:10:"product_id";s:5:"16923";s:14:"hide_thumbnail";s:2:"no";s:14:"override_title";s:2:"no";s:20:"override_description";s:2:"no";s:8:"optional";s:2:"no";s:15:"bundle_quantity";i:1;s:19:"bundle_quantity_max";i:1;s:15:"bundle_discount";s:0:"";s:17:"filter_variations";s:3:"yes";s:18:"allowed_variations";a:1:{i:0;i:16928;}s:24:"hide_filtered_variations";s:2:"no";s:15:"bundle_defaults";a:2:{s:9:"pa_colour";s:4:"blue";s:7:"pa_size";s:2:"41";}s:17:"override_defaults";s:3:"yes";s:10:"visibility";a:3:{s:7:"product";s:6:"hidden";s:4:"cart";s:7:"visible";s:5:"order";s:7:"visible";}}}

Which is… not a maintainable and good solution.
Any chance you guys from WPAI plugin are working on a solution?

    Cheers
