Compatibility with Simple Sales Tax

    While Fluid Checkout seems to work with the basic features of the Simple Sales Tax plugin (in terms of calculating and displaying sales tax), it does NOT work if “Enable Tax Exemptions” is enabled in Simple Sales Tax. When this feature is enabled, Simple Sales Tax will add a “tax exemption” section to the checkout that includes a drop-down to select any pre-existing exemption certificates and a link to create a new one (via the “my account” page).

    With “tax exemption” enabled while using Fluid Checkout, not only does the “tax exemption” section not show up, but the other sections (particularly collapsible sections) do not work correctly. A number of console errors are generated, as well.

    I’m not sure how easy it would be to improve compatibility with the tax exemption feature of Simple Sales Tax (or if it is something that the Simple Sales Tax author should work on?), but I would be very happy if it could be done. ??

    1. Is this issue happening when only Fluid Checkout Lite is active, but PRO is disabled?

    2. If the issue only happens when Fluid Checkout PRO is activated, please contact on our main support channel.

    Thanks for your quick response. I’m actually only using the Fluid Checkout Lite plugin at this time and do not have PRO activated.
