• Hello !

Thank you for this amazing plugin. I just posted this on github but I figured this might be where I should have posted it instead :

The plugin used to work perfectly but since the last update, I have an issue.

I have created two differents footers (one in english and one in french) to display accordingly with the use of the Polylang plugin.

Now my footer only shows in french or in english depending on what page I choose on the settings options (“Select a page to be used as Footer”).
So I can either have my footer that displays always in french or always in english. It used to detect the language and display only the appropriate footer but it does not anymore.

Any idea how to fix that ?

    Thanks !

    Hello @canardsdeparis,

After HFB version 1.2.0, users are able to create multiple Headers & Footers and display them conditionally using the display rules.

After this update, the Polylang plugin now needs to provide support for our plugin.

Just to let you know, we tested Elementor Pro offers similar functionality (to create multiple header and footer and display them conditionally) and has similar compatibility issues with Polylang. But there is an addon plugin: “Connect Polylang for Elementor” which makes it compatible.

We have contacted the author of “Connect Polylang for Elementor” requesting if our “Header Footer Elementor” plugin can be supported as well. And hopefully, the support will be added soon.

Meanwhile, here is what you can do:

    1. Contact the author of Polylang and check if they can add support for our “Header Footer Elementor” plugin.
    2. Contact the author of “Connect Polylang for Elementor” and check if they can add support for our “Header Footer Elementor” plugin.

If you need any other help, please let us know. We will be happy to help.

    Regards,
    Rahul.

    Hello Rahul,

Thank you for your answer. I forgot to mention that my website was created with Beaver Builder and not with elementor.

The plugin I am using is Beaver Builder Header Footer.
Would you have an idea on how to make it work with polylang with this settings ?

I also have someone who replied to me on github and is looking into it, but I will contact Polylang as well.

Thanks again for your help and for developing this plugin,

    Have a good day,

    Philippe

    Hello @canardsdeparis,

Could you please provide us with few steps to reproduce this issue you are facing on your end.

As on our end, we are unable to reproduce this issue, as with Header Footer for Beaver Builder plugin, you can add only one footer.

It will be better if you open a support ticket to us so that we can have a better look at the query you are having.

Let us know if we are missing anything. We are looking forward to hearing from you.

    Regards,

    Hello Sir,

Thanks for your answer. I am not sure how to open a support ticket.
Here is my issue (It used to work well before last updates):

I am using the “Beaver Builder Header Footer” plugin for my footer. I am also using the Polylang plugin for translations.

If you go on https://www.canardsdeparis.com, our website created with beaver Builder, you will be able to switch language between french and english with the Polylang language selector located on the right of the top header.

Problem is on both the french and the english version, the footer will remain in french. It won’t detect the language and display the right footer.

Here is the page for the french footer : https://www.canardsdeparis.com/footercustom/

Here is the page for the english footer : https://www.canardsdeparis.com/en/customfooter/

I can make it display the english footer by choosing the “customfooter” page (english footer) rather than the “footercustom” page (french footer) in the settings… but then it will show only in english, always.

Before the updates, whatever page I chose in the settings to set as a footer, it would automatically detect the language and show the right one (the french or the english version depending on the selected flag).

Would you have any idea how to fix that ?

    Thanks again
