Hello and thanks for this great plugin.

I need to be using this plugin with at least one other security-related plugin (currently using “Login Lockdown”) so as to be able to block users after a certain number of failed login attempts over a fixed time period.

    MY QUESTION:
Can you help me to understand what determines the order in which the functions in these two plugins will be called? Specifically, I’m using your plugin on two sites. On one site it works but on the other it doesn’t and I think it’s because Login Lockdown is looking at the host first and then IQ BlockByCountry doesn’t look at it after that. Please advise. Thank you.

    Actually …CORRECTION:
The other plugin I was using on that site was “Login Attempt Log”. But the question is the same …I have it configured to block all countries outside of my own but these outside hosts are getting through …just on that one website.

But your plugin works fine on another site.

Okay I’ve definitely observed that “Login Lockdown” does interfere with “IQ Block Country” in some way …though I’m not quite sure how. It’s just that I can see that many, many requests (to my wp-login.php) from many countries are not getting blocked by “IQ Block Country” but they are getting blocked later by Login Lockdown. However many requests ARE getting blocked by “IQ Block Country”. Also, the ones that are getting through are in my “geoiplookup” database so that’s why I think it’s not that they are missing in the database.

I’m a software developer so I can debug this at the code level but I thought I’d ask for your input first. Thanks.

YOUR PLUGIN IS WORKING CORRECTLY !!!

Please ignore the above two posts. I went into my database and saw that the IP’s were indeed banned. I had mis-interpreted my Apache log. In some cases the attacker repeated attacks from the same IP address even though it had already been banned by IQ Block Country!

Thanks for this great plugin. I just submitted a donation!
