• Hello,

Before installing your plugin, I would like to know if it is compatible with the keycdn enabler cache plugin and the shortpixel plugin, because we want to keep this

Thanks in advance for your return

    Kind Regards

    Hi @ms06,

PhastPress should work well with the Cache Enabler plugin. However, external CDNs are currently not supported. Are you also using KeyCDN as CDN, and if so, which plugin are you using for that?

PhastPress does its own image optimization, which is not compatible with ShortPixel. But image optimization is only a minor part of PhastPress’ functionality, and I would suggest using PhastPress and disabling image optimization. This should work fine in combination with ShortPixel.

I’m here to help if you run into any issues.

All right, thanks for the info. We don’t use cdn on our site. I just have a question about critical css because it’s really the main purpose of installing your plugin. Is your plugin greedy in server resources?

    Hi @ms06,

Well, it uses some resources to do the optimizations of course. Unless your server is really slow, it should not cause any problems.

I would suggest you try it out, it’s easy to remove if it doesn’t work for you.

I will return to you after our conversation. Namely: when your plugin is activated with the keycdn enabler cache, the optimizations are not displayed. However, after activation and use of the sg optimizer cache (siteground), everything works perfectly and the results are excellent! No plugin has done the job so far (especially for the css blocking rendering) It’s really good work. As long as it lasts and if I can give you a suggestion, keep this plugin simple and light, without too much functionality as we can see elsewhere. Good continuation

    Hey @ms06,

Thanks for letting me know how it went. ??

I’m glad you got it working with another caching plugin, but I’ll see if I can fix the issue with the KeyCDN Cache Enabler.

Best of luck with your project!

    All right,

That would be great. Can you add a notification when it will be compatible with cache enabler keycdn?

    Thanks to you

    Hi @ms06,

I had a look. The reason it does not work with the KeyCDN Cache Enabler is that this caching plugin caches the HTML from before PhastPress applies its optimizations. Most other caching plugins do this differently.

Unfortunately it doesn’t seem possible to fix this in such a way that it won’t be broken by possible future changes to KeyCDN Cache Enabler.

I also don’t know about a compelling reason to use Cache Enabler instead of WP Super Cache, for example, so I think I will leave it as it is.

I’ll add a note to the FAQ noting the incompatibility with Cache Enabler.
