  • The cache plugin is fine but I think the limit login attempts plugin is over 2 years unsupported and not supposed to work with the latest versions of wordpress. we already perform that functionality so I wouldn’t install it.

As far as we know, there aren’t any issues with that hosting company.

    WFSupport,

    1) when you say the cache plugin is fine, that leaves the impression that it does not have to be disabled – is that actually the case? I am asking because I seem to recall that I had asked about installing a second caching plugin and an answer was posted that I had to disable the second caching plugin for Wordfence scan to work. So ???

    2) is the falcon engine for caching integrated with the FREE version, (or only with the PREMIUM version) , and if so, how is it enabled, since I don’t see an option to enable it in the FREE version?

You can use whatever caching plugin you want as long as you only use one. Disable ours and use theirs if you like. Use ours and don’t use theirs. It is your call. Since Falcon isn’t mandatory to use our plugin it’s not a big deal. The problem the other user might have ben having was probably because in some very rare cases I think there was a problem with disk and object caching causing something not to work right. Again, this is a rarity as I think it has only come up ponce or twice since I have been with WF. If the caching plugin does cause issues then I would certainly look in that area to see if that was the problem.

The Falcon engine is available on the Performance Setup page and is available to free and premium customers.
