Compatibility with Groups?

We are currently using Groups for page security to only allow certain users to access secure pages. I’ve installed the plugin and tried to access a secure page that’s I should have access to (when impersonating a user) but I’m denied access. Does this plugin work with Groups, or do I need to install something else for it to work with Groups?
