• If you change the delivery date at checkout in the field provided by FloristPress, Square sends an obscene number of ajax requests which in the case of the most recent series of tests, caused a delay/freeze of a minimum of 37 seconds before user can input further:

We (FloristPress devs) haven’t been able to determine anything in our code that specifically triggers these, thinking that there might be an over-eager trigger somewhere in the Square plugin? The function that is calling these ajax requests in square.js is ht()

    Thanks!

    Hello @leggroup ??

I’m trying to set up a test site to check this. Can you please share the steps required to reproduce the issue after installing FloristPress?

    Thanks!

    Hi @paulostp ??

After running through the setup checklist, you’ll need a valid shipping (“delivery” when FloristPress is installed) method, and a non-virtual product in your cart. You’ll also need a classic checkout page as block checkout isn’t yet supported.

Take it to checkout, and watch the console/network as you try to select a delivery date from the datepicker (just below order review) before entering any other details on the checkout page.

Setup of the client’s Square plugin on the site we’re having issues with has tokenisation and gift cards enabled, but the issue persisted when either or both of these were disabled.

    Thanks!

Oops, I was logged in on the company account, but you get the idea ??

    Hi Scott,

Thanks for sharing the steps. I was not able to replicate the issue and also don’t see the errors you found even on https://flowers.heritagesa.com.au/. Is this still an issue for you? If so, have you been able to replicate the issue on a different test site? Does this happen if you use a different payment gateway other than Square? Can you share a screencast of your entire testing process? We’re happy to look into this further.
