    Hello,

We have just started using the Simply Schedule Appointments plugin on our website, and the plugin itself is working just fine. But it is causing an issue with another important plugin we use on our website: Download Monitor.

With it we offer software and information material downloads for our customers. These downloads are in a restricted area that only registered customers can access after loggin in. (We use the Ultimate Member plugin for the page restrictions and user access.) After activating the SSA plugin these downloads do not work anymore, no matter whether it is a software ZIP or info PDF.

    The downloads work as follows:
When the “To download” button is clicked on the overview page, a new page is automatically created by combining the terms & condidtions subpage and a button with the actual link to the file. During this process the URL is changed from e.g. “/downloadarea/9872/” (the URL behind the “To download” button) to “/nutzungsbedingungen/download-id/9872/” (the URL of the final download page).

With the SSA plugin activated, this creation of the download subpage no longer works. All you get is a 404 error page that shows the first URL “/downloadarea/9872/”. So our guess is that the problem lies in switching the URL and redirecting to the final download page.

What’s more is that this issue remains after deactivating the SSA plugin – even after deleting it completely. We only got the downloads to work again after uploading a backup from before installing SSA.

As we are otherwise very happy with the SSA plugin and would like to keep using it, we are hoping that you can help us with this issue.

    Thank you.
    Kristin

    Hello @videcbremen,

Sorry to hear you’re dealing with plugin conflicts ?? I just tried to test this out on our test site, but it looks like the public version of Download Monitor does not include the Terms and Conditions extension that you’re using.

Could you send us an email at support@ssaplugin.com to continue troubleshooting?

    Thanks!

After re-installing Simply Schedule Appointments, the Download Monitor plugin continued to have issues with the links. We were able to fix them by resetting the Permalinks in the WordPress settings.

If you’re having similar issues, go to WP-Admin Area > Settings > Permalinks in WordPress and re-save the permalinks.
