Compatibility with Clipper theme by Appthemes?

I am using Clipper theme from Appthemes. They have an option for enabling “Use Google CDN jQuery” in the admin section.
I have enabled this feature in the theme. I would like to know if this plugin is performing the same feature or it would be worthwhile to install and run this plugin.
