• Hi,

We are using Caldera Forms for the site linked above. However, the next button does not seem to work and we are concerned that there’s a compatibility issue between the theme and forms plugin? Do you have any guidance as to whether compatibility issues exist, potential fixes etc?

Thanks in advance for your help and guidance.

  • Sorry, not a proper reply. Just to say I’m having the exact same issue so interested to see what comes back too.

Hi, Josh from Caldera Forms here.

I just tested a mutli-page form, with a file field on page 1, and it works with the Frontier theme. https://dev-cf-testing.pantheonsite.io/multi-page/ The fact that is works for me is a good thing. It means the theme and Caldera Forms get a long fine, just one or more fields causes this issue.

But which one? That’s the mystery we need help with here.

I suspect there is a field type that both of you have on the first field of your form that is causing this issue. Can we compare field types in the first page of each of your forms please? I can make a form with all of the common ones and work systematically from there to whatever the actual problem is here.

Thanks in advance for everyone’s help.

I’m using the PayPal Express add on. I also have credit card, CVV, expiration number. There are several date picker controls, file upload controls, checkboxes, rich text editor and the standard one line field.

Greatly appreciate assistance from both of you.

    I have nothing too fancy.

    1 x HTML
    7 x Single Line Text
    1 x Phone Number (Better)
    1 x Dropdown Select
    3 x Radio
    1 x Next button

    Theme is SiteOrigin

@londonhistorians Thanks for that info, this helps a lot. @webdbapps and I are also communicating via a support ticket. I think we’ll be able to work out soon if this is truly a conflict with Frontier and if so, why. If we open a Github issue for this, I’ll post a link.

    Is Frontier on Github?

    Frontier is not on Github.

I’ve tried Caldera Forms with the theme and the Next button works as expected. Since @londonhistorians who uses a different theme also has the same problems as @webdbapps then I think it’s less likely that this could be a theme issue and probably has more to do with their specific setups.

I don’t see a link. @webdbapps Did you make sure that your form actually has another page? Since you hadn’t included your site address, it’s hard to tell.

Thanks, I hope you’re right. Would hate to have to change theme now or indeed bail out of Caldera. Have invested too much time in both. And now on a new Caldera paid license. ??
