    Hi

Thanks for creating KEYY already installed android app and plugin on one of my websites. QR Code scan was extremely quick. Tip to your marketers… You should already have your logo thumbnail on the plugin. (Looks more legit).

I have shield security enabled ( I will not drop the plugin – It is THE BEST security plugin available to wordpress IMO) and have already had to disable some other functionality within shield to get a part of it (KEYY) working (Which I am not very happy about). So far I have allowed RPC but am now coming up with another (401) error. Says access has been blocked by shield. I will look into this further and if I have time I will notify the shield dev about this.

Just thought I would let you guys know about this as I really do want this plugin to be the Clef replacement. (Wont use jetpack 2 factor auth)

I will not rate yet! I use all your other products so it makes sense to use this one too. Never had any issues!!

  • I just wanted to reply – it may or may not help!

I have been waiting for this Clef replacement as well and have just setup on site running Shield (5.8.2)

    It works fine

I have not tried it with Shield 5.9 yet though

I’m not sure of your config, however I am very strict on all my rules. I’m extremely cautious about security. I’ll give it another go tomorrow and report back.

I am running the latest shield version.

    Hi,

Thank you for checking out Keyy!

    Tip to your marketers

They’re working on making the scan code look nicer. It wasn’t ready for the first release, but it is well underway!

Concerning Shield, are you able to use a process of bisection/elimination to work out exactly which Shield feature is the one that blocks Keyy?

You will need to make sure that WP’s REST API is not disabled. (This is the remote communications API – without it, the site can’t receive incoming commands of any sort).

Hi, thanks for the response. I didn’t mean the scan picture, I actually meant the plugin logo displayed right here on the support forum.

Anyway, I managed to get my website added to Keyy. But have now locked myself out. I have screen shots of the errors.

Allow Login Through XML-RPC To By-Pass Accounts Management Rules is ENABLED.

Here is the 1st message: shield_block_anon_restapi

The 2nd message:Request code failed with error code :401.

Will disable KEYY and try again.

I managed to allow RPC. For ANYONE reading this.

In SHIELD, go to Lockdown, System and untick disable Anonymous rest API.

Indeed so. Somehow this got missed from our launch procedure. We’ve added it now.

I will add an item to our task tracker so that Shield users are advised if the REST interface is disabled. Thanks again for the feedback!
