• Hello,

I have an issue with elementor. It only loads my published pages/posts in safe mode. But drafts work fine in normal mode.

When I click the preview debug mode, I see only the featured image, and right bellow there is the following line:
    Constant DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT already defined

After trying some things that didn’t work, such as increasing memory, I finally decided to deactivate my other plugins, one by one. I have found the plugin that is causing this problem, but I cannot find a solution.

That plugin is LiteSpeed cache. When I deactivate it, all my published pages and posts work fine with elementor, without the need for safe mode. But once I turn it on again, the problem comes back. I tried to tweak a couple of settings in the Litespeed cache plugin, but I had no success. Do you have any suggestions to solve this compatibility issue?

By the way, replacing LiteSpeed plugin by other caching plugin is not an option.

    Thanks and regards

  • Hi,

Could you please try reset LiteSpeed cache setting back to default and see if it works ?

It solved the problem, thanks. I will activate my settings one by one and open elementor after each one, to see what is causing the conflict.

    Thank you very much.

Just in case anyone has the same issue and finds this thread in the future, I am leaving the fix here.

The problem was caused because the option “JS Combine” was turned on. There are 2 fixes that worked for me:
    A- Turn this option off.
B- To leave this option on, exclude elementor files from being combined. To do that, go to “Tunning” and paste “plugins/elementor” in the “JS Excludes” field.

    Cheers!
