  • @sanchafle Hi there, I am sorry to hear you have these issues. That message displays in the checklist to warn you of any technical issues with your story, such as compatibility issues with other plugins (which could break AMP validation).

The validation error on your story is “Custom JavaScript is not allowed.

If you’d like to share your Site Health information we can look for any obvious plugins that may be causing this conflict. You can share privately if you prefer.

    please help me

@sanchafle thanks for providing the information. When you mentioned that you tried disabling plugins, did you do this one by one or all together? If you haven’t tried already would it be possible to try temporarily disabling all plugins except for Web Stories and then check your story once more in an incognito window.

It’s possible that one of the plugins is injecting custom JavaScript which is causing the AMP validation to fail. Let me know how this goes.

yes i tried and disabled all plugins one by one and checked the issue again and again but the issue is still there

@sanchafle thank you for confirming. When checking your story in the AMP validator I can see that the specific code it is failing on is a monitoring script which looks like it is being placed by your hosting provider. See the snippet I am referring to below:

<script>'undefined'=== typeof _trfq || (window._trfq = []);'undefined'=== typeof _trfd && (window._trfd=[]),_trfd.push({'tccl.baseHost':'secureserver.net'}),_trfd.push({'ap':'cpsh-oh'},{'server':'***********'},{'id':'********'}) // Monitoring performance to make your website faster. If you want to opt-out, please contact web hosting support.</script>

As you can see from the comment at the end you will need to contact your hosting provider to get this removed so that your stories pass AMP validation.

Hope this helps and please let us know if there is anything else we can help with on the web stories side.

godaddy hosting provider are not helping me and directly blaming you. You may check the screenshot: https://ibb.co/Y0mFzk1

@sanchafle Sorry to hear that you are having troubles with your host in this scenario. I can confirm that the monitoring performance script is not added by Web Stories and is not something that we are able to remove.

It appears that this issue has come up before with other GoDaddy users, as you can see in this GoDaddy community post. The only way to fix the issue that you are encountering is to remove that script. If you need assistance with doing so, you will need to contact GoDaddy support again as this isn’t something that we can assist with.

i think it is not the problem from hosting side it is problem from plugin side because they told me that the issue is from plugin side.

@sanchafle Seems like you’re stuck in the middle here, unfortunately. While the “Your story contains errors that can affect eligibility to appear on Google” error that you are receiving is indeed from the Web Stories plugin, it cannot be fixed by changing something in the Web Stories plugin.

The only way to make the error go away is to remove the script that my colleague Adam noted above, which is a script that is inserted by GoDaddy and not the Web Stories plugin. That is the only solution and there’s nothing that we can do on the Web Stories plugin side to change that script.

If you’re able to remove the script but are still seeing this error, do let us know and we’d be happy to take another look at your setup.

i have removed the script and the amp validation is passed now but in console when i request indexing it says try after some time

@sanchafle Glad to hear that you were able to remove it! Indexing isn’t something that is controlled by the Web Stories plugin itself, but we’re working with the Search Console team to see if anything has changed on their end recently that could be causing this issue.

It is worth noting that there are a number of factors as to why this might be happening and if you haven’t already I would recommend checking the Search Console Help Center which may help you to find out why this may be happening.

At this moment we don’t have a timeframe on when there will be an update and your topic may be closed. Please do continue to check back on the forums where any updates will be posted as soon as we have them.
