I have The Events Calendar installed on my website (with Extra of Elegant Themes) https://encyclobjects.com because I think it adds value to my publication. I select 1 monthly ebento to recommend to my users and I categorize it (7) and tag it. The first time I tagged an event, the form that appears is the WordPress one and the format is the same as the post tags, in fact I shared some between events and posts, thinking that, by having the “Show events” box activated along with the other entries on the site. When this option is activated the events are still shown on the events page”, if I selected any tag to list content, the search would show entries and events. But it’s not like that, it only shows me entries. Now, if I go to the plugin administration and select a tag within event, it does show me the events, but only the events. My question is simple: Is there a solution or do I directly eliminate the event labels?

I’ll appreciate your answer. Receive cordial greetings.

  • Hi @jreygarcia1960,

    Glad you reached out.

This guide on Event Tags will show you what is possible with event tags and how to use them.

Please review the link. I hope it answers your question.

    Dear Rob:

Thank you very much for your quick reply. I had already reviewed the link you sent me, that’s the reason for my question. I have understood that The Events Calendar generates a different URL than the one generated by WordPress tags, therefore, I understand that it is not possible to share them in the same search. I have already solved the problem by preparing a page exclusively for event tags.

However, to continue investigating the matter, when looking for an events label, it only shows the events that I have in the month, if I have them. Isn’t there the possibility of seeing in a label all the events that have been included in it, even those that have already passed?

I would appreciate any comments. Thank you very much for your help. Receive cordial greetings.

    Hi @jreygarcia1960

    Thanks for your response.

If you are viewing the calendar in the month view, it will only display events that are scheduled for the current month. However, if you switch to the list view, you will see all the upcoming events regardless of the month they are scheduled for.

By default, it’s not possible to show past and upcoming events in a single view. You can only view them by clicking on the previous button or if you want to access it directly, you can add ?eventDisplay=past to your calendar URL.

    See- https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/past-events/

I hope that helps, and please let me know if you have further questions or concerns.
