    Hello, I’m currently looking at using Jetpack CRM as our CRM solution. I have Jetpack CRM installed and I’m currently exploring adding companies and contacts. I have set up a company with address etc filled in, when I assign a company to a contact, can the address be applied to that contact or do I need to re-enter the address data?

    I suspect I have replied to you via email as we’re discussing some presales deals, but for the sake of sharing the knowledge, I reply also here — in case other users have the same question ??

    Jetpack CRM allows you to manage companies and contacts effectively. When it comes to address data, assigning a company to a contact doesn’t automatically populate the contact’s address fields with the company’s address. The reason for this is that often contacts may have different addresses from their associated company.

    If you need to do that systematically (as at the moment, that would require a manual action from your end), you might need a custom snippet that creates that sort of “automation.” That is something that goes beyond the scope of our support, though.

    Have I misinterpreted your question, or does it sound about right?

    Hi Stef, yes you did reply to me via email, thank you. You have interpreted my question correctly, and I appreciate the reason company and contact addresses are kept separate. It might be nice to have an option to import address data from a company when a user is linked to a company. I think for now I will add small businesses as users to save time.
