Community site for members to share collections

  • I am looking to build a site where users can register to have their own mini site that they can manage images and descriptions of multiple items they have in a collection. Could be art, memorabilia or anything that they want to showcase. Collections and items would ideally be tagged into broad categories. Users could then follow each other and connect through sharing similar interests.

    Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

  • Are you going to have social networking features on your website? I think you need something like BuddyPress. Please have a look at https://buddypress.org/

    Definitely planning on having social networking and using buddypress, already have it installed and setup. Am stuck now with finding a solution to allow users to add and categorize multiple items.
