Community Features – do they exist?
-
The description for this plugin still currently states:
“Community – If you’re looking to save money by avoiding professional translation, you can take the do-it-yourself approach and have your bilingual employees, partners and/or users perform translations right within WordPress. The plugin integrates with and provides use of the Lingotek Workbench, a professional-grade text editor used for translating, reviewing, and post-editing multilingual content.”Do these Community features exist? and if not could this description be corrected/removed?
As per the thread “Workbench doesn′t open, translation waiting forever” Lingotek is only open for 1 user, if you want to “have your bilingual employees, partners and/or users perform translations right within WordPress” the correct solution for that would be to disassociate content from Lingotek or just disable Lingotek and stick to Polylang. While the usage limitation is understandable for a free subcription level, it would be better if it were more clearly explained.
The FAQ, Help etc do not appear to explain any Community features. The upsell links are directed toward engaging professional translators and do not appear to explain how to contribute translation resources or participate in a community.Apologies if I have completely missed some obvious link, I have looked!
A networked translation community is a great idea that could really take off.
