    Hi,
I am a new blogger and see that wordpress is the best one around. I want to implement a blogging site for my college where all the students can register, post and share their blogs with each other. But that should be within campus only.

Say if my college name is X, i should have a site called X.com/blogs and each user should have a blog called sergey.X.com or even X.com/sergey

What do i need to have this sorta setup? I saw mu.wordpress.com alos. do you think that will be the solution? can it do the blogs as I visualize? I also should have mods and admins to regulate the content and theme choosers for users.
Please help me out with this.

thanks to one and all…and specially to all the wordpress staff.

At my college, we’re working on putting mu.wordpress on a server for students. What we really need, though, is a free Akismet license. I sent the Akismet folks an email a while ago but never heard back (I wonder if our college domain name is still being treated as SPAM by a lot of email providers…).
