Commnets Missing <br />

  • I have a problem with the comments displaying on the blog.

    When the commenter adds the comment, the paragraphs (double
    ) are displayed in the textarea. When I approve them in WP editor, they are formatted correctly but when they are displayed on the post page, somehow ONLY one line break shows up!

  • Have you tried temporarily switching to the default theme to see if this is a theme-specific problem? Are you using any comment plugins?

    Thanks, esmi. I turned on the default theme and comments are working fine. So I think it is theme specific. I will check the theme.

    Thanks to esmi, I looked at the CSS for comments and found the problem and fixed it!! Wooohooo…

    Maybe for future reference, and for other people facing the same problem, you could show us what you found and fixed?

    Seconded. I’d be really interested to hear what the problem was. I’d have put money on a faulty comments listing in the theme – not a CSS problem.
