Commission Question for WC “Product Vendors”

I’m trying to understand what the commission field means for the WooCommerce Product Vendors extension. Is this the percentage that the store pays the vendor, or the amount that the store gets from the vendor for selling their product? The wording in the description for this fields leads me to believe that it is the percent to pay to the vendor, but the example rates are way too low.
