Comments won't activate…

I have never used the Jetpack comments before, but recently I decided I would use them since it would help my website out. I already had jetpack installed, and I made sure all my plugins were updated(I hadn’t touched this blog in a year or so)and then I clicked “Activate”. Well, It said that it had activated…but when I looked the Comment box(On the jetpack page)still had that grayish overlay and still had an “Activate” button. No matter how many times I press it…it refuses to activate. Did I do something wrong? I made sure I was connected to wordpress as well…
