Comments Vanished – no ID# being assigned to posts [NSFW]

**my site may contain information of an adult nature – however the post I’m referencing is M15+ rated at worst**

Initially my comment form was sending 404 errors when people tried to submit comments.

resulted in the 404 error at this URL -> https://www.screaming-violet.com/2013/04/pleasure-and-pain/comment-page-/#comment-

So I’ve been told that the 404 errors and inability to make comments were due to no ID# being assigned to my posts, but I do not know if this is the problem, & if it is I have no idea how to fix it.

I have tried de-activating all of my plugins, switching back to default theme etc but to no avail – however since then I realised that ALL of my comments are missing. I was constantly being sent emails to moderate empty messages, at least one a minute so turned off the email notifications.

Ive been considering removing and then re-uploading the wp-admin folder (Im not 100Z% sure that this qualifies as ‘the core’) after backing up my database etc but am scared Ill screw it up!

I’m not really sure what to do and desperately need some help.
