Comments Template on a Taxonomy Term

Looks like this type of feature is a common request and probably more an issue due to the legacy nature of WordPress. Hopefully there are some better solutions out there.

Not sure if doing this is feasible due to the duplication of data and extra queries it requires to display a category/taxonomy.

Has potential but the requires to have comments linked to a hidden first post.
3rd party Discussion platforms work without issue though your users will be separate from your wordpress members – even when utilising something like Disqus sso.
