Comments posting to IP address

    I used this plugin to move my site from one host to another. After moving the site successfully we made a couple changes, including the IP address. Now when someone goes to post a comment it appears the form is trying to post to the old, no longer valid IP address. Even if it was pointing to the new IP address that wouldn’t be correct since we are using SNI SSL so we need a post to the hostname. Where is the information stored that dictates where the comments are posted to, so that we can go in and fix it? I’m surprised that this target isn’t associated with the WP_SITEURL or WP_HOME and automatically working since both of those variables are set properly.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi,

    It could be something related to your DNS.
    What are your old and new URLs?
    Basically when you change the domain name, you will have to wait up to 24 hours to redistribute the new name on all DNS servers around the world.

    Old and new URL the same, IP address is the same. It turns out it was bad information in Jetpack. I deactivated then reactivated Jetpack and the problem is resolved.
