Comments only loading in Firefox
-
Hi,
I usually work on my pages in Firefox so I’m not sure how long my site has had these issues. Typically I’ve been using the Disqus comments on my posts, and in Firefox the plugin works perfectly. I’ve been using the load “On Click” button. Works perfectly on both Desktop and Mobile.

With the theme I’m using, which is the stock WordPress theme “twentyseventeen”, the load button appears under the page title at the top of the screen instead of at the bottom below the content. Whoops! This is on desktop. If I squish the browser window’s width, the button pops back down to where it should be. The layout looks fine on mobile, even in landscape.
Well, I switched the loading mode over to “On Scroll” and that sorted it out on desktop, I guess, by getting rid of the button. Oddly on mobile, the button is still there even after refreshing the browser window… I don’t know, maybe this is intended functionality on mobile.
However, where the really big problems started to show up was when I checked my posts and pages on Chrome, and then Internet Explorer (my IE in particular, is in virgin form, whereas I have all sorts of extensions in Chrome that I thought might be messing with things.)
In those two browsers, I don’t get any Disqus related stuff at all. Instead, I get what looks like a stock comment form with “Leave a Reply”, with fields for Comment, Name, Email, Website, and a “Post Comment” button at the bottom. Well, that’s not right! Did a script fail to load? Not sure what’s going on there.
I’ve tried messing with all sorts of settings without any luck. The mystery for me is, why is DCL working fine in Firefox, but not Chome or IE? I have no idea.
