• I am creating a website using Pages, but not blog functionality. I am using a modified version of the “Classic” theme. I would like to activate comments on just one of the pages (which I have done using the checkbox). However, on the pages where comments are not enabled, I don ‘t want anything to show up where the comments would otherwise be. Currently it shows:

    No comments yet.
RSS feed for comments on this post.
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.

  • I’d go by creating a second(?) Page template. The question mark refers to the fact that Classic doesn’t really have a Page template, so you may end up creating 2 ?? – Classic uses the index.php to display the Pages.
Anyway, the two Page templates should be identical, except for the call for the comments template: delete that one line from the template you want without the comments.
When you create new Pages you should be able to choose which template to use: w/ or w/o comments.

Good deal. I’m not sure why I didn’t think of that ?? Thanks for taking the time to respond!
