Comments on pages not posts

  • I set up a new WP blog. Everything was working fine and I was able to tests some comments. Now the only comments are available on pages and not on posts. I’ve been through all of the administrative check boxes. Any suggestions?

    I haven’t done anything to the page.php or comments.php pages.

    I have changed themes. Depending on themes, sometimes I cannot view the whole article as well under the categories.

    I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling WP as well as setting up new data bases. I’ll try again. I was hoping it was a simple plugin or clicking of a particular box that is the problem.

    No it’s a theme issue. If you want the comment bits on the single article pages you’d need to make sure you have

    <?php comments_template(); ?>

    In your single.php template before the endwhile.
