Comments on home page not showing up?

  • Hi, I want to update to Twentyseventeen from a really old outdated theme and when I install the first thing I notice is all my front page comments are not displaying. The settings I have checked and the comment box is ticked. There are over 1200 comments on this page alone and I would like them to display. What have I missed. Your help would be great thanks, Janek

    To add to my question above, even if go to the “All Pages” and edit the settings of that “Front Page” to Allow comments – nothing shows up.
