Comments on blog won't work

Have you tried:

– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

– switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

– re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

Thanks, I have tried the deactivation/reactivation of plugins with no success. Next step was to switch to default theme or reload a backup, but as the site is very customised and the backup will loose we a lot of recent blogs I was hoping for another solution.

I might try your other suggestions first (although at this stage I’m assuming it probably is a theme issue)

Your site’s content is stored in your database – not in any theme files. Your theme’s settings should be saved in your database and should be retained for future use.

OK, thanks, any time I changed before I just recustomised when I changed back :/
