Comments Not Working !

  • Ok , so I started a new wordpress blog yesterday , version 2.2.2 . I installed it successfully and even installed a few plugins everything was fine , the first post was up ( u kno , hello world ) and the comments were working too . But as soon as i went to ” Write > Write Page ” and added a new page titled Resources and saved it , the comments stopped working . Here take a look

    and to my horror , the new page I put up wasnt working either . So I deleted it , but still , the comments – NOT WORKING . And Now the Page titled “About” is not working. What seems to be the problem here guys ? Anyone having the same problem ? Please help me out here guys coz I really want it up and running ASAP .

    There was no problem until I created a new page and saved it , then published it . Could this be a bug ? Please I need help to solve this .

  • It could be that your .htaccess file isn’t correct.

    Try switching back to ugly permalinks – test the comments – then switch back again to pretty permalinks and test once more. If the pretty permalinks don’t work check that your .htaccess file is being updated by WP.

    Thanx man ! I’ll do that right now . We’ll see if it works . Thanx anyways for the reply , highly appreciate it .

    How would you check to see if your .htaccess file is being updated by WP? I’m having the same problem with my comments and with my Pages links.

    I was trying to install the set-permalinks plugin from

    It seems to be having some kinda problem , maybe its not compatible with the latest version of WordPress(2.2.2) . Anyways , I’m sure I’ll figure out something pretty soon . I’ll tell u as soon as i find out .
