    I have the comments set so that I have to approve them before they are published, which is how I want it to be. When someone leaves a comment, I get an email saying that there is a comment and click “approve.” Then I get an email saying that the comment has been approved. However, when I look at my blog, at the bottom of the post it only says “1 comment” and not what that comment says. If a viewer clicks on the “1 comment” it will show the name of the person who left the comment, but again will not show the actual comment. In addition, if there is already “1 comment” it won’t allow any other people to make a comment on that post.

    I would like for the readers to be able to see the comments at the end of each post, as well as allowing multiple comments per post. Any ideas on how I should go about correcting this issue?

    Thanks!
    Tamra

    Tamra,

    I hope this isn’t too basic a starting point, but if you try to “select” the text in the comment area via click’n’drag with your mouse, does any text show up. i.e. is the comment font-color set to the same as the background colour?

    There isn’t even a comment area. Here is the link if you have the time to take a look:

    https://www.photographymoments.com/blog

    You’ll notice that at the bottom of the post it says “1 comment” and if you click on that it says that it is from Dad, but it won’t show the comment. Also, if you try to click on “leave comment” it won’t even let you on the ones that already have “1 comment.”

    This whole issue is very frustrating! Thanks for trying to help.

    Wow – this is a busy place. Is there a phone number to call WordPress about this?

    Sorry Tamra,

    Had an insane day at work… didn’t manage to load up the forums.

    <div id="comments" class="post">
    											<h4>One comment</h4>

    											<div id="comment-8" class="alt message-bottom"><div class="message-top"><div class="message-right"><div class="message-left">
    						<div class="mes-br"><div class="mes-bl"><div class="mes-tr"><div class="mes-tl">
    							<div class="message-by">Dad</div>
    							<div class="avatar-place">

    That is the bottom of the “view source” of your page.

    I can’t see a closing to your site code.. no footer information, no closing brackets of HTML etc etc…

    Have you done any manual edits to your theme files? It looks to me like you might be missing a couple of bits of code there….

    I’ve not even been able to add a comment to your site.. so i think you’re missing some fair chunks of code in there. More than happy to help you through this.

    Tamra, any update on this job?
