Comments not showing up

We have a doc which explains how you can disable the comments. You can check it out and verify if those are already marked on your site which must be disabling the comments – https://wpastra.com/docs/how-to-disable-comments/

I don’t want to disable comments I want to enable them in my posts.

The tutorial I sent above are the same exact steps for enabling the comments. Just you have to ckeck the options to enable comments when it asks to uncheck to disable.

Anyway,

1. Can you check if you have comments enabled from Settings -> Allow Comments (screenshot)
2. Can you check if comments are enabled on individual blog posts (screenshot)

Thanks Nikhil for your help. I checked your suggestions and they were checked same way as your screenshots but still no comments section shows below my posts. Funny thing is that I can see the comments box in some of my pages but not on blog posts. Don’t know what else to do.

Are you using any template/plugin to create the blog post layout @carmarielos? Is it possible that the template does not have the comments for blog posts.

Also – Do you have any custom snippets in your child theme related to comments?

I checked my blog posts, no templates though I use visual composer for my pages. Not sure about the plugins. No clue about the custom snippets or child theme. I’ve heard about it but don’t know what they are. How do I check this?/ thanks again!

I see that you are using some plugins related to comments on your site.
Can you try deactivating all the plugins for testing and see if that is displaying the comment box? My guess is that some plugin is disabling the comments for blog posts.

Deactivated all plugins (44) and checked the blog page. No comment section shows.

Even I am out of options now.
Can you temporarily switch to a different theme and see if the problem exists even after switching the theme?

I just did but no change. This is the only bit that is holding me back on this project. Ran out of all options and do not dare to go into the theme code for fear of screwing things up. I even tried to add Disqus plugin but it doesn’t show either. I am going to see if I can get someone from the Astra team to guide me step by step from scratch. I do appreciate your help throughout this Nikhil. thanks for following through
