Comments Not Showing on Static Homepage

    I noticed that comments had stopped showing on the static homepage but were continuing to show as usual on all other pages.

    (1) On disabling and checking plugins one-by-one, the comments came back when I deactivated NextGEN Gallery Version 2.2.8.

    Before deactivating I had checked previews of other themes of a few other themes to rule out any incompatibility with my current theme.

    The comments did not have any problems in previous versions.

    (2) I re-activated the plugin and removed the NextGen Gallery line (code) from the homepage and the comments kept showing.

    I put the same NextGen code on another page and comments stopped displaying on that page.

    (3) I marked-out the NextGen line using <!-- and --> still the comments didn’t show. So, though the plugin is active but I had to completely stop NextGen Gallery from displaying on any page.
