Comments not linked to correct post

  • I recently imported a slew of posts from a free wordpress.com blog to my own hosted blog (https://www.notesinthemargin.com) and all of the posts seems seemed to import correctly, but some of the comments to certain posts are not seeming to line up with the correct posts that they apply to.

    When I go to edit posts, the comments are with the appropriate post, but when I browse (as you can do too) some of the comments appear attached to more than one post or to an incorrect post.

    For instance, if you check out the post about the Polar Bears and Global Warming and click “Comments” (no comments have actually been made to this post yet), you’ll see four comments that were made to another post (about the Nike+iPod sports kit)…and those four comments appear on SEVERAL threads.     I’m not that savvy with editing the php scripts or any of that…I am familiar with the web interface of wordpress.com after working with it for a couple of years, but hosting my own is a bit new to me so any help that is spelled out with specifics on how to fix these links would be greatly appreciated.     well it is harder then we think to do that , importing post is a good idea to start of our blog fast but it does not always work the way we want it to. I recently tried the same think on my site which sells brand name clothing https://www.raininghollywood.com and all it did was make a mess of things. now i am back to building the site again and this time i will do my research before i try to import a blog.
