Comments not appearing

  • Hi I have recently added some security plugins and I am not sure whether that is relevant but I am no longer receiving comments and get the following error message .. Not Found

    Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.

    I have been to the discussion settings in admin and all settings appear correct. Any ideas? I dont know where to start looking, Thanks

    To anyone else with this problem, I did a lot of googling and it seems a pretty common problem and there is a ton of information out there for you to wade through. My problem was in the htaccess file and I removed a piece of code that was supposed to block comment spam by denying access to no-referrer requests. Unfortunately it blocked all comments, no idea why but comments work now. GOOD LUCK!
