Comments Link cuts off header

Hopefully someone is able to help me because I’m puzzled.

When click a comment link.. it goes to the specific post where the comment is. The problem is, when it goes to the post, it show the comments but it cuts off the header and top of the side bar.

I’ve fixed the problem by going in to the container style and removed overflow:hidden but the generates a new problem. When I remove overflow:hidden it fixes the problem where the header is cut off but it causes a huge blank space underneath the footer. What is causing this huge space? It seems the only way to fix the header being cut off, is removing overflow:hidden but I can’t have that huge space under the footer.
